Restaurant offers fresh California cuisine and outstanding service

Noah’s Bar & Bistro offers a cosmopolitan feel to its guests. Patrons who walk in through the restaurant’s Monterey Road entrance discover a lounge bar with a sophisticated urban feel. It’s as if they might have been transported into an eatery in the Notting Hill district of London. That’s exactly the ambiance owner Sadik Azar was looking for when he opened his restaurant named after his baby son Noah.

The restaurateur comes from a family that has started several dining establishments in Morgan Hill including Betsy’s Café, Mr. Falafel Mediterranean Cuisine and A-Jay’s Cheese Steaks.

“Opening a restaurant and bar had been a dream of mine for a long time,” Azar said of Noah’s. “I’m privileged to experience this new endeavor with my siblings. My parents Sam and Suzie started their own business (Southside Market and Liquors ) in the early 1970s and have been in business for over 30 years in Morgan Hill. My family and I feel very fortunate to follow in their footsteps.”

Since the restaurant opened last December, executive chef Adolfo Rojas, aided by lead cook Francisco Alvarado and assistant chef Alejo Morales, has developed a following among local residents. The trio make sure guests always receive a dining delight at lunch or dinner when ordering from a menu offering a variety of California cuisine offerings.

“Our bistro offers a style of cooking that involves fresh, organic, local ingredients to produce delicious and nutritious healthy foods,” Azar said. “Our menu includes appetizers such as our four cheese fondue with veggies and bread baguettes, as well as stuffed prawns wrapped with bacon.”

Other menu offerings at Noah’s include a variety of salads such as its Chinese chicken with spicy peanut dressing , and beet and goat cheese arugula salad with a balsamic vinaigrette. Noah’s chicken pasta has a spicy kick with vegetables and poblano chilies that is a favorite to many patrons.

Fresh fish such as mahi-mahi topped with a fresh pineapple slaw is also a must have at the restaurant. Rojas can also whip up prime meat steaks such as a 16-ounce rib eye topped with a demi-glace sauce and sauté mushrooms. The restaurant also offers take-out. Many patrons who come in for this option order Noah’s classic charbroiled burger with onion strings and homemade fries.

“Our goal is to provide our guests with fresh California cuisine and outstanding service within a cozy yet chic atmosphere,” Azar said. “We offer a little bit of everything. Our white sparkle marble top bar with a mirror lit waterfall feature has a cosmopolitan feel that makes our happy hour in the lounge breathtaking and fun. You also can enjoy the sun for outdoor dining on our patio. We also have a separate dining area that can accommodate lunch business meetings and large lunch or dinner celebrations.”
