Abe and Teresa Andrade have lived in San Martin for the past 30 years enjoying the country life while raising their children Abe Andrade III, Anthony and Alyssa. With their children now grown, they decided to pursue a business venture that would let them continue to enjoy the country and share the experience with other by hosting various events in a select country setting.

In June 2014 they bought the former Ludewig Ranch and renamed it Andrade Country Meadows. The 23-acre setting has an antique windmill and rustic red barn as icons, and green meadows, surrounded by native oak trees.

Morgan Hill Life asked Teresa to tell readers about how she and her husband plan to develop the property located a couple of miles south of Morgan Hill.

What kind of event opportunities are available at the Meadows?

The number of opportunities for Andrade Country Meadows is endless including the use of the facilities for weddings, reunions, company picnics, corporate events, and parties. In addition, we have many events planned for next year including a big band champagne brunch, car show and swap meet, music series with food truck jamboree, movies in the meadows, a day on the hay and other surprises in the works. We are looking forward to working with non-profits, community organizations and local schools to partner on other events throughout the year as well. Plans are in the works to host an open air flea market on the second Saturday and an antique fair on the fourth Saturday of each month.

Describe your property and how it is desirable for weddings and other events.

Andrade Country Meadows is the ideal venue for your chic country wedding. The property, on a ranch setting, is a desirable venue for any size wedding, providing for the use of the old rustic red barn to host an intimate indoor venue for about 150 guest or the beautiful open meadows for unlimited outdoor seating and a stage. It also provides ample parking. There are many locations around the ranch to take wedding photos including antique horse trailer and displays, a 1927 horseless carriage used to carry produce to market, and a miniature train for the bride and groom and all the wedding party to ride in. Hay bale seating in the meadows is also a complementary offering for your guest and wedding party if desired.
