Morgan Hill lost an unassuming hero when Dave Payne passed away suddenly on June 10. A longtime supporter of youth sports, Dave was a dedicated futurist and veteran of the high-tech industry. He and wife, Christine, met as undergraduates at UCLA and have lived in Morgan Hill since the 1990s raising their four children. Dave enjoyed satellite technologies, playing jazz piano, freelance web development and coaching youth sports
He’s survived by his beloved wife Christine, children Alex, Lauren, Eric and Ryan, parents Jim and Sigrid, sister Sheryl and brother-in-law Dave Beeman, aunt Susan Schneider and an extended network around the world.
Celebration of Life will be June 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Morgan Hill’s Downtown Amphitheater.
