The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce will continue on March 3, 2018 a continuous tradition of celebrating the contributions and accomplishments of a few extraordinary individuals and organizations at the 60th Annual “Celebrate Morgan Hill” dinner event.

Unlike some other organizations which have jumped on the idea in more recent years, the nominees and winners come completely from the broader community and are not selected by the staff, volunteers or board of the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce. In order to pull this off, we need your help through the submission of nominees. This year’s award categories are: Woman of the Year, Man of the Year, Large (over 20 employees) Business of the Year, Small (20 or fewer) Business of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Educator of the Year and Student of the Year. Submissions must be received in the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce offices by Nov. 17, 2017 and may be submitted in person, by mail (17485 Monterey Road, Suite 105, Morgan Hill, CA 95037) or by email to [email protected].

All submissions will be reviewed simultaneously by a selection committee composed of winners from the three most recent years. The selection committee has complete discretion and authority to choose the 2018 winners from amongst the submitted nominations.

Individuals may only win a particular award once in their lifetime and they must live or work primarily within the geographic boundaries of the Morgan Hill Unified School District.

Winning businesses and/or organizations must have a significant operating presence within those same boundaries, but may be units of larger organizations. A simple nomination submission form can be found online at www.tinyurl.com/CNom2018. Please feel free to add additional pages, references and/or other information which best presents the qualifications of your nominee(s). Feel free to make multiple nominations, but keep each in their own submission.

We highlight a few of the many extraordinary people and organizations in our community as a way to bring out the best in all of us by taking the time to honor some of the best among us.

The awards ceremony theme this year is Old School Prom, and will fittingly be held at the Britton Middle School Main Gym, formerly known as the Live Oak High School Gym. We promise an evening of fun and celebration.

Tickets are already available online at  www.tinyurl.com/CHMTix2018  and sell for $105/person or $1,000/table of ten including appetizers, meal, dessert, soft drinks, beer and wine.

We look forward to your nominations and to seeing you at the prom in March.
