I can’t believe we’re already approaching the third month of 2018. The year is already off to a dashing start, and the Morgan Hill Downtown Association is as well. We’re planning all our fun and friendly events for the rest of the year.

With a booming downtown and a growing community, we’re striving to provide the best events possible with the help of our board members as well as our wonderful community members who volunteer at the all of our events.

We are looking to bring back some of our staple events such as Food and Wine Week, the Wine Stroll, Brew Crawl and Safe Trick-or-Treat.

Food and wine week occurs in the spring one week prior to the Wine Stroll. This week pairs amazing food and wine events throughout the downtown. The wine tasting event will pair local wineries with our local businesses as hosts. A ticket is purchased and the day of the event you are given a list of places to visit were the winery will be pouring from inside that particular business. It’s a fun way to see what our local shops and restaurants have to offer while tasting some great local wines.

Brew Crawl, held in the fall, is very similar to Wine Stroll, except it is with the suds, of course. The downtown businesses will host the breweries while beverage lovers get to taste a variety of beer from inside the businesses.

On Halloween we host our downtown Safe Trick-or-Treat. During this family-friendly event, downtown streets are closed and participating businesses set up booths or tables and pass out yummy treats to all the trick or treaters. Along with all the candy being handed out, there are also games, face painting, music, and lots of creative costumes to see.

We also plan to continue with our quarterly mixers. These mixers are a wonderful opportunity to network, meet volunteers, supporters of the downtown, and members of the downtown association.

The downtown association will also partner with other events hosted by neighboring associations/organizations. This is just a preview of the events to come. There are a few more potentially amazing events.

If you would like to get involved with the planning of the events downtown or be a volunteer, please feel free to contact us. Please visit www.morganhilldowntown.org/ for more on our upcoming events.

We’ll see you all downtown!
