Personnel include veteran instructors and many who are new to the profession

By Staff Report
Students will be heading into their classrooms Aug. 16 for the start of a fresh new school year for the Morgan Hill Unified District. Many of them will be meeting new teachers as well as some new administrators and support staff.
“We have more than 50 new teachers joining our MHUSD team this year with quite a mix of rich backgrounds and experiences, said Steve Betando, superintendent of the MHUSD.
Among the new teachers are veterans teachers bringing experience from other school districts, but also many who grew up in our community and are new to the profession, Betando added.
“I know that our neighborhoods and businesses will embrace them and support them as they help develop our students,” he said. “Morgan Hill, San Martin and South San Jose are rich communities that continue to extend resources to our teachers and we all appreciate how they are welcoming our newest educators with open arms.”
