Play Pickleball
• Join other adults for drop-in Pickleball games every week at the Centennial Recreation Center. Mondays from 8:30 to 11 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sundays from 12:30 to 2 p.m. All levels are welcome. Balls and paddles provided. Support Sobrato Band
• Come dressed in costume for dinner and dancing at the Totally ’80s Dance Party fundraiser in support of Sobrato band. It takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. in high school gym, 401 Burnett Ave. All ages are welcome. There will be a photo booth and costume contest. A taco dinner will be served. Planting fall and winter vegetable garden
• There are many types of vegetables that can grow in fall and winter after the tomatoes are all gone. Leafy greens, root vegetables, broccoli and other seasonal crops will be covered at the class. • Join attorney Jim Ward for a 90-minute educational workshop, breaking down inheritance tax myths, inaccurate information regarding qualifying for Medi-Cal and the legal steps needed to protect assets with a sound living trust. Sobrato band fundraiser
• The Sobrato Swing Marching Band is having a Goodwill Fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sobrato High School parking lot, 401 Burnett Ave. Bring your unwanted clothes, books, electronics, small appliances and exercise equipment in any condition. Help us fill the trailer to raise money for new instruments and additional uniforms. Furniture or large appliances cannot be accepted, nor can any single item weighing more than 50 pounds.
