• Join others in evening and Saturday morning walks. Meet at the Morgan Hill Shopping Center (Main and Hale avenues) for walks from 6 to 7 p.m. They also walk for 90 minutes Saturdays beginning at 9 a.m. The walks are at a moderate pace and include hills. Bingo benefits seniors
• Bingo is played at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, to raise funds to benefit the Morgan Hill Senior Center. Kiwanis meet regularly

SV Woodworkers meet
• If you are a woodworker and would like to share your skills and experiences with fellow woodworkers you might enjoy the South Valley Woodworkers. Reading hour
• Join other community volunteers who read from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, one-on-one with a child, at the El Toro Clubhouse (the site of Boys & Girls Club). Master Composter
Training Course
• The 2016 UCCE Santa Clara County Master Composter training course will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays Jan. 28 to May 21, 2016, 1553 Berger Dr., San Jose. The program is a multi-week intensive training for community members interested in gaining an advanced level of knowledge and experience with composting. Graduates will be required to serve the Santa Clara community by providing educational opportunities, site based demonstrations and technical assistance. In exchange for 50 hours of advanced training, Master Composters will be required to volunteer 50 hours in the first year. The deadline to apply is Dec. 4. Call (408) 918-4641 for more information.

Holiday Lights Parade

Jackson Holiday Boutique

Coffee with the Mayor
• The next coffee with Mayor Steve Tate will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at BookSmart. The mayor’s guest will be council member Gordon Siebert. This is a great opportunity to chat in a casual environment with two of Morgan Hill’s policy makers; give them your opinions, ask them questions or bring up concerns you may have.

Dec 8
Hear the Bells Ringing
• Celebrate the holidays at 7 p.m. with Divine Jubilation, the hand bell choir from St John the Divine Episcopal Church. Learn about the history of hand bells and join in for a Ring-and-Sing. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be served. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Its annual membership meeting and elections will take place after the performance at the Morgan Hill Library, 660 West Main Ave.

Women and investing

• Come to the Paradise Valley Vineyards Wine and & Spirited Chocolate Tasting from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hiram Morgan Hill House at Villa Mira Monte, 17860 Monterey St. The event cost $5 and is for those 21 and older.

Dec. 14
Christmas Open House
• Add some extra merry to your Christmas as Marisa Otto of Edward Jones hosts a gift of appreciation to the clients, friends and neighbors who make Morgan Hill a wonderful place to operate a business. Through Dec. 15
Toys for Tots drop off
• Marisa Otto, the local Edward Jones financial advisor, is supporting the Morgan Hill Toys for Tots program by using her office as a drop-off location for this year’s toy drive. Residents may help needy children in the area by bringing in a new, unwrapped toy to 275 Tennant Ave., Suite 206A, during regular business hours through Dec. 15.
