• Bingo is played at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, to raise funds to benefit the Morgan Hill Senior Center. • The Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy program of Sourcewise invites the public to its Open House from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at their new satellite office, 16340 Monterey Road. Attendees have the opportunity to tour the office and speak with state-certified counselors.

Tarantula Fest at Henry Coe
• Take walks with volunteer naturalists in search of tarantulas or go on a geocaching hike. Enjoy live music or just hang out at the kid’s activities table. Coffee with the mayor
• The next coffee with the mayor will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at BookSmart, 80 E. Second St. Mayor Steve Tate will have two guests, Assistant City Manager for Community Development Leslie Little, and Director of Public Works Karl Bjarke. This is a great chance to interact with the mayor and executive staff.

Fine Wine, Spirited Chocolates

Library Fall book sale
• The Friends of the Morgan Hill Library will hold a Fall Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library, 660 W. Main Ave. All books are $1 or less, children’s books are $.10. A bag sale will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. and are $5 with a reusable library bag, $4 if you bring your own. A members-only sale takes place from 9 to 10 a.m. Memberships are available at the door. GourdFest is here
• The Calabash Club of Silicon Valley is sponsoring its Fourth Annual GourdFest from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Uesugi Pumpkin Patch, 14485 Monterey Road. It features gourd art, ready to craft gourds, gourd art demonstrations, a raffle and a make and take area for children. Admission is free, although there is a parking fee. Annual WERC BBQ and raffle
• Come out to the Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center’s 20th Annual BBQ and Auction from noon to 3 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center, 16450 Murphy Ave. The event includes a barbecue, wine, beer and soda included; a menu for children; live and silent auction items and meet the educational animal ambassador team.
