Bingo benefits seniors
• Bingo is played at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, to raise funds to benefit the Morgan Hill Senior Center. Bingo benefits bands
• The Live Oak Emerald Regime holds bingo games at the Britton Middle School Auditorium, 80 W. Central Ave., to support band programs. Aug. 22
Summer pruning of fruit trees
• Learn the basics of pruning your fruit trees in summer and why summer pruning is so important from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Saint Louise Hospital’s Teaching and Demo Garden, 9400 No Name Uno. They will demonstrate how to “summer prune” and encourage participation. Presented by South County Master Gardeners.

Art Exhibit
• Artist Karen Lesso Hegglin — who grew up in Morgan Hill and Gilroy — will have a show titled “Years in the Making” … Watercolors by Karen Art Exhibit that will be on display from Aug. 20 to Sept. 23 at the Community Center. Audition for theater
• TheaterFun Director Carol Romo will hold auditions for the 2015 Fall Children’s Theater production at the Morgan Hill Grange, 40 E. 4th St. Times are: 11 a.m. For those 6 to 11 years old and 1 p.m. For those 12 to 17. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign-in. Audition notes for young actors:
• Dress in comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
• Prepare a short song to sing a cappella
• If you are 12-17, please prepare a short monologue or poem
• Bring a head shot
• Bring a resume of past productions

• The Morgan Hill Library and the LGBTQ Youth Space are offering an LGBTQ+ Meet & Greet from 4 to 5 p.m., at the Morgan Hill Library, 660 W. Main Ave. This is a low-key event for ages 13 to 25, and a chance for LGBTQ+ youth and allies to get to know one another and ask questions.

• The inaugural Harvest Moon Dinner and Dance takes place from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Fortino Winery, 4525 Hecker Pass Highway, Gilroy. British classic car show
• The Fourth Annual British Fall Classic automobile show takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in downtown Morgan Hill. On Sept. 12 there will be an organized car tour through the scenic Morgan Hill wine country. Saturday evening registered show participants are invited to a wine reception hosted by sponsor On the Road Again Classics, from 4 to 7 p.m. Registration is $45 until Aug. 31. Fall Fun Fest
