Walking program
• Join others in weekday evening and Saturday morning walks. Meet at the Morgan Hill Shopping Center (Main and Hale avenues) for walks from 6 to 7 p.m. They also meet and walk for 90 minutes Saturdays beginning at 9 a.m. The walks are at a moderate pace and include hills. Bingo benefits bands
• The Live Oak Emerald Regime holds bingo games at the Britton Middle School Auditorium, 80 W. Central Ave., to support after-school band programs. Saturday, doors open at 4:15 p.m., games start at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, doors open at 11:45 a.m., games start 1:15 p.m. For more information visit www.emeraldregime.org/bingo_page.htm.

Thursday evenings
Lent celebration
• Advent Lutheran Church invites everyone to join in the celebration of the season of Lent. For the heart and soul they offer taize meditation and prayer service from 7:15 to 7:40 p.m. Thursday evenings, in the church sanctuary during Lent. Children and teen book sale
• The Friends of the Morgan Hill Library are holding a special sale of children and teen books. The sale will be held from 10 a.m. to noon March 20 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 22. Most books are 25 or 50 cents. Teachers and librarians receive a 10 percent discount.

March 22
South Valley Wine Auction
• Enjoy premium wines and fine food at this annual event that raises funds for Morgan Hill Unified School District athletic programs. The event takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center. Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 at the door and available at www.southvalleywineauciton.org.

Bluegrass for food pantry
• Help support food distribution in South County by bringing up to five cans of nonperishable food to support St. Catherine’s Reach Out Food Pantry to a Gospel/Bluegrass fundraiser from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 16870 Murphy Ave. Cash donations always accepted.

March 24
Relay for Life training
• Help save lives at the Relay For Life event of Morgan Hill May 17 and 18. Teams camp out at Community Park and take turns walking around a path for 24 hours. For a $10 fee, and individual goal of $100 funds raised, this is a low commitment, but high impact event. Sign up today as a team, or an individual at www.relayforlife.org/morganhillca. Restaurant supports sober grad
• Visit Sinaloa Cafe and the restaurant will donate 15 percent of the entire order — beverages included but food must be ordered — to the Live Oak Safe and Sober Grad Night. The deal includes carry-out orders. Click HERE to download and print the flyer, then present it to your server.

Fenny and Garcia at Trail Dust
•Morgan Hill Life’s very own harmonica master Mark “Fenny” Fenichel will spend a night playing the blues with legendary performer John Garcia 6 p.m. at Trail Dust BBQ at 17240 Monterey St. in downtown Morgan Hill. Enjoy some of the best blues, BBQ and beer in town as you listen to the duo play traditional and original tunes. Diapees & Wipees
• When Jason Stebbins, from Guild Mortgage, and his wife learned they were having their third child and second baby girl, they decided to turn the traditional baby shower into a fundraiser. They will be collecting diapers and wipes, or any other baby donations including gift cards, at their home, 7320 Chadwick St., Gilroy, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations will go to families in need that are supported by Community Solutions. You can also drop off donations the entire month of March at Guild Mortgage in Morgan Hill located at 350 Woodview Ave., Ste. 300.

April 2
Craft-a-Palooza
• Visit BookSmart, 80 E. Second St., from 10 to 11 a.m. for Craft-a-Palooza, a fun day of paint, collage, and craft making for boys and girls 3 to 12. Pre-register by calling BookSmart at (408) 778-6467 or drop-in if space is available.
The cost is $15 plus $5 materials fee.

April 13
Register now for Wildflower run
• The deadline to register for the April 13 31st annual AAUW Wildflower Run is April 3. The cost is $20 for children, $35 for adults before April 3, $25 and $40 after. The 10K run, 5K run/stroll/walk, and 2K children’s run, begin at Live Oak High School, 1505 E. Main St. Proceeds help provide scholarships for women and girls.
