To encourage friendly competition among local children and their parents and friends, the American Institute of Mathematics sponsors a Family Game Night once a month at the Morgan Hill Community Center.

Families come to AIM’s Game Night and compete at games of skill and logic to train their brains with mind-stimulating challenges. The game of the night changes each month so people can try new games or show their skill at an old favorite. Snacks are provided. There’s even free drawings for fun prizes provided by BookSmart and other businesses.

“It’s a great way to have fun and meet new people,” said Dave Holmstrom, the game master in charge of running the monthly event. “Our Game Night program is for local families in the Morgan Hill area who are interested in getting together, socializing, and having fun playing games of skill and logic.”

Players can work in skill and age appropriate groups. Most games will be appropriate for children age 8 to adult.

Game Night meets the third Tuesday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. (unless otherwise specified) in the El Toro Room at the Morgan Hill Community Center, 17000 Monterey Road in downtown Morgan Hill.
