Armando Garcia wants to create fun memories for 75 young people from the El Toro Youth Center by taking them to the CineLux Theaters where they’ll see the sequel to the Pixar movie “Planes” premiering July 18. The owner of Morgan Hill technology firm Dicar Networks believes that providing them with the opportunity to enjoy “Planes: Fire and Rescue” will encourage them to strive for excellence in their lives.

Some of the center’s kids have never been to a movie theater. Giving the children a movie experience might help them develop greater self-respect and inspire them to strive for a high quality of life.

“It’s an environment they haven’t been in before,” Garcia said. “They’re going to be treated with respect because they’re customers. The movie has good messages about safety and friendship, along with the social environment they’re going to be involved with.”

Garcia is seeking six co-sponsors to help contribute$125 each to pay for the estimated $1,000 to bring the students from 8 to 16 years to CineLux. Each sponsor’s name will be included in an advertisement donated by Morgan Hill Life that will be published in the newspaper in late July.
