How would you like to save yourself $10, all the while ensuring yourself a good time? All you have to do is go out and buy your ticket to the Morgan Hill Downtown Association’s Brew Crawl now instead of the day of the event. A ticket which can be purchased at BookSmart, Huntington’s Station, The Hill Bar and Grill or at other participating restaurants and stores will only cost you $35 as opposed to $45 the day of the event, Sept. 17.

The Brew Crawl promises to have some fresh surprises for even our regular attendees. We will have live music near our Third Street entry. And with our new high-rise garage, finding a parking spot is a breeze. We will have 19 stops with specialty and craft beers from traditional and local distributors.

Besides such well-known breweries as Sierra Nevada and Gordon Biersch, we will be serving tastes from 10 Barrel Brewing Co, The Boston Beer Co., Goose Island and many others. An example of one of the local beers being served is New World Ale. The San Jose brewery was started in 2015 with a goal to make traditional American ales of the highest quality. They created a half-acre hop-yard in our neighboring community San Martin, which allows them to pick and brew with hops at the peak of their ripeness. The brewing can then be three hours or less. Their website indicates this allows “the hop’s most delicate and volatile oils and aromas to be infused in the brew instead of being lost in drying and processing.”

I am used to hearing such lofty descriptions about wine, but there are many who are just as dedicated to getting the best flavor and variations from good beer. We also have several new vendor sites for our event. This is your chance to check out some of our newest stores and service businesses. Stagnaro Tack & Apparel is our new corner store which specializes in quality products for Bay Area equestrians. It’s one of those stores you might have been dying to check out just to see what is in there. Now you have your chance while enjoying a refreshing beer. Lacerda Chiropractic is another new member who might be able to answer a few questions related to your back and joints while you are enjoying your good libations.

In keeping with the beer theme, let us not forget one of our beer stops and latest attraction, The Running Shop and Hops. If you haven’t yet tried it out, don’t miss your chance to visit this unique shop. They have shoe, socks and running accessories on one side of the business — and right next door a place where you can taste more than 50 different craft beers. This is a place all of us will have be able to continue visiting on our quest for a good brew long after the Downtown Morgan Hill Brew Crawl is a distant memory of a good time.

Don’t miss out on those good time memories. Buy your ticket now.
