The annual summer Brew Crawl put on by the Morgan Hill Downtown Association takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 2 and it’s not too late to grab your ticket for one of downtown’s most anticipated events. The event has been gaining popularity throughout the county, providing another reason to visit our community’s downtown. This year’s event will boast some of the finest craft breweries in California and the Pacific Northwest, as well as household names from other parts of the country.

Don’t miss this opportunity to invite out-of-town guests to spend the afternoon with you and local friends to share in an experience that showcases some of the reasons you love living in Morgan Hill — a vibrant place to shop, work, dine and play.

For craft beer aficionados, many of the breweries should be recognizable, but for the novice beer drinker, this might be your first chance to audition some of the best beer being brewed these days. Either way, you won’t be disappointed with this year’s line-up, featuring 20 premier craft breweries, including 21st Amendment, Alimont Ale Works, Angry Orchard Cider, Drakes, Goose Island, Hermitage, Gordon Biersch, Kona Brewing, Lagunitas, Ninkasi, Red Hook, Riley’s Brewing, Samuel Adams, Santa Clara Valley Brewing, Santa Cruz Ale Works, Sierra Nevada, Speakeasy Ales & Lagers, Stella Artois, Strike Brewing and Widmer Brothers.

Morgan Hill will be bustling with hundreds of tickets already sold. They are going fast — for a bargain price of $30 in advance of the event or $40 the day of the Brew Crawl.

Tickets for the Brew Crawl are available at all participating pour stops including, ARTTEC USA, Betto’s Bistro, BookSmart, Continental Stitch, Fast Frame, Happy Spatula, Huntington Station, Jewel Box Morgan Hill, Just G’s Boutique, Noah’s Bar and Bistro, Portraits by Rebecca, The Candy Parlour, The Hill, The Music Tree, and Tryst Fashion Apparel. A-Jay’s Cheesesteaks, Grinds Vines & Automobilia Café, Rosy’s at the Beach and Trail Dust BBQ — this year’s marquee sponsor are also pour stops, but tickets are already sold out at these locations. Be sure to include them in your crawl route.

Beer tasting isn’t the only thing your ticket gets you. It also includes coupons from local eateries and retail shops and free entry into the concert at the Downtown Amphitheater after the Brew Crawl.

If craft beer isn’t your drink of choice, don’t let that stop you from joining friends as a designated driver and get a free soft drink, bottled water, watch battery or novelty item at select locations. If that still doesn’t sound appealing enough to get you downtown, then stop at one of our downtown restaurants for an afternoon bite.

Whether your preference is craft beer, local wine, or advocating safety as a designated driver, you’re destined for a wonderful afternoon enjoying downtown Morgan Hill. For more information, visit the Morgan Hill Downtown Association at http://morganhilldowntown.org/.
