In a story published in the May 25 issue of Morgan Hill Life on campaign finance disclosure statements for the Morgan Hill Unified School District board of trustees race, candidate Pamela Torrisi was misquoted. She actually said, “This is a grassroots campaign of people from public school and the Charter School of Morgan Hill who are supporting me in running my campaign.”
A statement sent to Morgan Hill Life by CSMH Executive Director Paige Cisewski said: “As a public school, CSMH can not and does not endorse candidates in any election. Our board members, teachers and families can and do support candidates as individuals, but their view points do not reflect an official school position. Charter School of Morgan Hill appreciates that Tom Arnett and Pamela Torrisi have agreed to run for the open trustee seat on the Morgan Hill Unified School District Board.”
Torrisi’s support includes current CSMH Board President Brian Sullivan and past board presidents Roger Knopf and Dana Ditmore.
