Above: Tracy Pyke, a volunteer with the Morgan Hill Granada Theater Society, hands out sweets to “Batman” and “Pirate Girl” in front of the downtown theater. This year’s Safe Night had much fewer attendees because of the drizzle from Halloween skies, but local merchants and nonprofit organizations still showed up and handed out candy and other goodies along Monterey Road which was closed off between East Dunne Avenue and Main Avenue. The event often attracts people from as far away as Hollister, Salinas and San Jose and is just one of the many reasons Morgan Hill is a family-friendly community.
