You don’t have to drive too far to enjoy live music with your New Year’s Eve celebration. It is an easy cruise to 1295 E. Dunne Ave. to 88 Keys Cafe for a four-course meal, party favors and free Champagne toast at midnight with live jazz piano and live music featuring The Mark Richard’s Quartet. Tax, tip and drinks are not included. The first seating is 4:30 to 8 p.m. for $55 per person. The second seating at 8:30 p.m. for $65. Reservations are required. Call (669) 888-3488. Troy’s Bocce and Wine Bar (inside Morgan Hill Bowl) presents their 2016 New Year’s Eve Party featuring live music with the Love Stoned Band. The $20 at the door gets you appetizers, photo booth, balloon drop at midnight and Champagne toast. Reservations are highly recommended and now being accepted at (408) 778-0945. Doors open at 8 p.m.

GVA Cafe in downtown on the corner of Second Street and Monterey Road is throwing a New Year’s Eve Masquerade Party with live music from Rich Bermea. The $20 per person includes a New Year’s Eve mask, Champagne toast, balloon drop, and a midnight breakfast. The party begins at 9 p.m. and goes to 1 a.m. For reservations and more information go to www.gvacafe.com.

Old City Hall in Gilroy always puts on a big party. You can get a full New Year’s Eve dinner for two for $75. Yes, that is per couple including a choice of lobster tail or petite filet plus lobster bisque, tossed green salad, fresh veggies, roasted red potatoes, dinner roll, dessert, coffee or tea and a glass of wine or Champagne. Also for $10 per person from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. you can enjoy live music with JJ Hawg plus DJ Jr. Diaz. That includes party favors, Champagne toast and a midnight buffet. The Milia’s Restaurant at the corner of Sixth Street and Monterey Road in Gilroy will be featuring Mike Malinao on acoustic guitar from 7 to 9 p.m. Then Mike switches to DJ dancing until 12:30 a.m. Balloons, noisemakers, hats, party favors and Champagne toast at midnight are all included for free. On another note:

There are a number of New Year’s Eve parties that will not have live music but quality DJs spinning their vast music collections. Ladera Grill includes dinner, dancing to DJ Robert Casale, party favors, midnight Champagne toast, balloon drop, dessert and cordials for $125 per person and reservations and pre-payment are required as the seating is limited. The Hill Bar & Grill in downtown Morgan Hill will be featuring DJ Darrun spinning his stacks of wax beginning at 9 p.m.

The District Theater in downtown Gilroy along with NDAMIXX is ringing in the New Year with a Black and Gold-themed night of DJ music featuring DJ Jimmy J and DJ Jimmy G. The $25 per person advanced ticket price includes appetizers, black and gold party favors, a black and gold balloon drop and midnight Champagne toast.
