Photo by Morgan Hill Life Morgan Hill Life welcomes Cecelia’s Closet to our community. The nonprofit is part of the Edward “Boss” Prado Foundation, named after founder Cecelia Ponzini’s son. The closet, located in a former residential home, helps local families and teens in need of various items, including career clothes for those in need of attire for job interviews, everyday clothes, food and hygiene goods. The home’s former car port has been turned into a large closet with thousands of items available for girls, boys, men, women and babies, including a stroller. The home’s kitchen and pantry store canned goods and other non-perishable food items and the washroom stores dozens of hygiene items. Volunteers from Live Oak High School, Sobrato High School, Christopher High School, Gilroy High School and Odyssey Community School sort clothes that come in and iron the career clothes. U-Save Rockery donated the gravel in the front parking area, Home Depot donated the kitchen cabinets that hold food items and Recology donated a dumpster for a month as volunteers cleared the property of debris. All referrals for help come through Community Solutions, the Morgan Hill Unified School District and the Learning and Loving Center.
