The new $2 million state-of-the-art chamber will allow for a more engaging experience for the public as well as help elected officials receive information to decide on issues. Locally-owned Weston Miles Architects designed the 3,750-square-foot chamber (compared with 1,125 square feet for the old chamber). It will be able to seat 280 people (compared with 85 people in the old chamber). The space will be rentable to the public for meetings such as religious services and fundraising galas.
