TED2016 is coming to the Gilroy Library Wednesday Feb. 17.

Linda Arbaugh, active library services manager for the Santa Clara County Library District, encourages people in interested in hearing ideas from prominent experts should attend.

“I want to bring to your attention two very exciting programs which will happen this week at the Gilroy Library. On Wednesday, February 17 from 2:15 – 4 p.m. and from 5 – 6:45 p.m. we will live stream programs from the TED2016 conference in Vancouver, B.C.,” she said.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to ideas worth spreading, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less) delivered by today’s leading thinkers and doers, she said.

“Many of these talks are given at TED’s annual conference in Vancouver, British Columbia. We are very pleased to be able to bring the TED conference to Santa Clara County via live streaming,” she said.
