Red Robin Gourmet Burgers & Brews will go blue and gold as uniformed members of the California Highway Patrol assigned to the Hollister-Gilroy Area office “serve” the community in a different way with the 12th annual Tip-A-Cop event to benefit Special Olympics Northern California from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at 1045 Cochrane Road Morgan Hill.

Law enforcement personnel will be volunteering as celebrity waiters and collecting “tips” as donations for SONC. Red Robin is hosting the event at more than 390 restaurants in 40 states and British Columbia, Canada.

For 12 years, Red Robin has partnered with Special Olympics and we are proud to have raised more than $4.8 million through the Tip-A-Cop program,” said Jonathan Muhtar, Red Robin’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “This program brings communities together at our restaurants in support of Special Olympics’ mission and we look forward to our funds continuing to support their year-round sports, training and athletic competitions in communities across the U.S.”
