On April 3, 2019, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Morgan Hill Police responded to the area of Tilton Ave on a report of a male victim with a gunshot wound. Officers arrived at the scene and located a 36 year-old male victim in the front yard of a residence. The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper leg. Officers provided medical aid and secured the scene for responding EMS personnel. 

The victim was transported to a local trauma hospital and is listed in stable condition. MHPD officers canvassed the area and interviewed several witnesses at the scene. Several bullet casings were recovered at the scene. It is believed the victim was shot while he was riding his bike on Tilton Ave. Detectives are actively investigating this incident and are requesting the help from any additional witnesses.
