I am proud to serve as your councilmember. I am running for re-election with a clear and positive plan for Morgan Hill.
As your councilmember I have participated in Morgan Hill becoming one of the most desirable communities in the Bay Area. Our combined efforts have made our community a place where quality-of-life and safety are priorities, a place where families and businesses can grow and flourish.
Today we face many significant issues, some new and some recurring. I have the experience and proven leadership to positively resolve them. I search for common ground when faced with opposition, and I make decisions that are based on reliable information, fairness and in the best interest of our community.
Morgan Hill has come a long way in the last few years, but there is still much to do. As a candidate, and as a councilmember I will put our quality of life first. I will continue to support managed and controlled growth – working with Sacramento to bring back more local authority in housing. I am a passionate advocate for open space and preserving agricultural resources. We must become more financially sustainable, I will continue to be an advocate for maintaining a balanced budget, using our sustainable budget policies and creating a local revenue source controlled locally and approved by voters. And I will always put the public’s safety first. Supporting our first responders, finding innovative ways to respond to people in need or crisis with mental health, housing and other social services.
I humbly ask for your support in my campaign. You may not always agree with me on issues we face, but you should always be confident in my knowledge of the issues, and my sincerity in addressing them, and how much I care about Morgan Hill.
