Annual event features British automobiles

Mark your calendars for the 2013 British Fall Classic car show Sunday, Sept. 15 in downtown Morgan Hill, featuring exquisite British automobiles such as Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Jaguar, MG, Morgan, Triumph, Austin Healey and more.
Saturday prior to the show, the afternoon British sports and saloon car tour will wind through the rolling hills of South County that are home to some excellent wineries. Participants will meet in the Morgan Hill CalTrain Station parking lot. Check www.thebritishfallclassic.com for details on when to gather.
Following the tour there will be a reception for registered show participants and event sponsors from 5 to 7 p.m. at On The Road Again Classics, 16840 Joleen Way. Participants will meet other British car enthusiasts while enjoying appetizers and wine from Guglielmo Winery.
Sunday, cars will arrive between 8 and 10 a.m. The public viewing will run from 10 a.m. To 2:30 p.m. After judging is concluded, the award presentation will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Net proceeds from the event will be donated to Community Solutions, a local nonprofit that provides an array of crucial human services.
Registration at www.thebritishfallclassic.com is required for car show entries and attendance at the On The Road Again Classic’s reception. There is no charge or registration for participation in the Saturday tour. Advance registration (by Aug. 23) costs $45 per car and includes full participation in the show and two tickets to the reception. After Aug. 23, the cost will be $60.
