• The Live Oak Emerald Regime holds bingo games at the Britton Middle School Auditorium, 80 W. Central Ave., to support band programs. Walking program
• Join others in evening and Saturday morning walks. Meet at the Morgan Hill Shopping Center (Main and Hale avenues) for walks from 6 to 7 p.m. They also walk for 90 minutes Saturdays beginning at 9 a.m. The walks are at a moderate pace and include hills. • Bingo is played at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, to raise funds to benefit the Morgan Hill Senior Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. with games starting at 6:30 p.m. For ages 18 and older. There is a $20 buy-in, $30 electronic and paper buy-in. Flash games available. Gingerbread house workshop at BookSmart
• Come to this BookSmart holiday tradition, from 6 to 8 p.m. and decorate gingerbread houses. Frosting, candies, decorations and refreshments provided. Space is limited/reservations must be made in advance. $20 per house plus fees for extra participants. BookSmart is located at 80 E. Second St.

Make your own decorations

• The latest movies out on DVD are coming to the Teen Center, so grab a bowl of popcorn and settle in. The movies take place from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Centennial Recreation Center, 171 W. Tea at Villa Mira Monte
• The 5th annual Holiday Tea at Villa Mira Monte will be held at 11:30 a.m. The Catered by Diana menu includes scones, tea sandwiches, caprese on focaccia, turkey Waldorf salad and sweet desserts and begins with a glass of champagne. Activities include silent auction, and unique and special raffle baskets with items donated from local businesses and residents. Tickets are $40 and available at www.morganhilllhistoricalsociety.org. Dec. 6
Holiday Lights Parade
• The Annual Morgan Hill Holiday lights Parade takes place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in downtown Morgan Hill. The parade will be followed by tree lighting by Santa and Mayor Steve Tate at the Community and Cultural Center. Visits with Santa and amphitheater stage entertainment suitable for children will follow tree lighting. Contact Mary Lou Conragan at (408) 779-1473 to enter or help with the parade.

South Bay Singers perform
• The South Bay Singers will perform a holiday concert at 3 p.m. at the Gilroy Presbyterian Church, 6000 Miller Ave. Tickets are $15 and available a the door. Children 12 and younger are free.

• Come visit the Holiday Boutique at the Andrade Country Meadows, 13755 Monterey Road, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and find that special gift you have been looking for.

Nordstrom School
• Get a head start on your holiday shopping and give back to a good cause at the Nordstrom Holiday Boutique from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at Nordstrom Elementary School, 1425 E Dunne Ave. Fifteen percent of vendor proceeds will be donated to the Nordstrom Home & School Club.

• The Jackson Academy of Math & Music’s 3rd Annual Holiday Boutique takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Find holiday gifts and crafts from the many vendors. Dec. 7
Healthy cooking with kids
• This class is designed to introduce children to healthy food choices and different cooking techniques. Participants will learn to have fun in the kitchen using various cooking supplies while creating a delicious lunch. This is a drop-off program for 5- to 12-year-olds that takes place from noon to 1 p.m. at the Centennial Recreation Center, 171b W. ‘Friends’ celebrates 40 years
• The Friends of the Morgan Hill Library will celebrate 40 years with the “Past, Present and Future” event that begins with the group’s annual meeting at 6:30 then a presentation of library expansion plans at 7 p.m. There will be refreshments and door prizes. The meeting takes place at the Morgan Hill Library, 660 W. Main Ave.
