Residents of the South Valley planning a wedding, party or other special event need go no farther than the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 8 to find help. The free-to-attend Special Events Expo will bring together various exhibitors who will offer their services to create a “memorable and magical” social occasion, said organizer Mike Aguilera.
The expo will have exhibitors such as event planners, make-up artist, entertainment professionals, catering, cakes and deserts, and florists. It will help attendees not just plan a personal event but business and corporate events, also.
Morgan Hill Life asked Aguilera about the Special Events Expo and why he encourages local residents to stop by.
Why might people like to attend the expo?
If someone is feeling overwhelmed and stressed planning an event then I encourage them to attend because the expo will help give direction, guidance and ideas all in one day under one roof. Attendees will have the opportunity meet with event experts to get answers to their questions as well as see photo examples or to taste samples. If someone is planning a holiday party, New Year’s Eve party or a special event in 2016, the Special Events Expo will help tremendously.
There will be exhibitors who specialize in weddings. What kinds of services and products will this include and why might upcoming brides and grooms want to go?
One of the featured exhibitors is Maxine Goulding, owner of California Special Occasions. There will also be catering, entertainment, florist and the opportunity to visit the Morgan Hill Community Center as a possible wedding or special events venue.
How did you come up with this expo idea?
My company does training and business consulting and one concept is to create a needed event to attract target potential clients to begin building business relationships. So I decided to create and produce the Special Events Expo to help a few of my clients and to invite other exhibitors to participate as well. And, since we are getting close to the holidays, the expo is timely to help those people who are planning a big holiday party.
What kinds of prizes are available on your raffle and how can people get tickets?
A few exhibitors will have various raffle prizes at their table. Featured exhibitor California Special Occasions will have a raffle prize and to enter simply register on the website to enter. Registration at www.specialeventsexpo.info is required to enter California Special Occasion’s raffle. The winner’s name will be posted at their table.
