• The Rotary Club of Morgan Hill’s annual Dazzle — a Celebration of Giving — an Evening in Tuscany takes place at 5 p.m. at Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin. The event raises funds for the local community and international opportunities to help those organizations and individuals in need. ‘Mary Poppins’ flies into Morgan Hill
• South Valley Civic Theatre will end its 47th season with a very special ‘Mary Poppins’ coming to the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse. This family-friendly Broadway musical is based on the popular Disney movie. SVCT will bring the magic to life with flying, unique special stage effects and illusions. In anticipation of an extremely popular production, SVCT will be offering 13 performances, including one with accommodations for special needs attendees. Group rates available. Henry Coe 5K/10K Fun Run and Walk
• The beautiful Hunting Hollow Valley is the location for the Henry Coe 5K/10K Fun Run and Walk again this year beginning at 9 a.m. The course is fairly flat from the start to the turnaround. It is an in and out course with both the 5K and 10K starting at the gate at the end of the parking lot and also finishing there. Registration can be either online through the website active.com or by filling a registration form and mailing it to the address on the form. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit Pine Ridge Association.

Patriotic Sing-a-Long and Potluck
• Do you play a musical instrument and/or enjoy music and singing? If so, you are invited to participate in a Patriotic Sing-a-Long and Potluck at 4 p.m. at the Hacienda Valley Clubhouse ( 275 Burnett Ave.) in Morgan Hill. Great voices not necessary since this is just for fun. RSVP by e-mail to [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected], or just show up. We have percussion instruments and songbooks for many of the old favorites. Bring a generous-sized dish to share. This is an alcohol-free event that is free of charge. All are welcome.

Big Big Band coming to Morgan Hill
• The Big Big Band from Sweden is coming to Morgan Hill. This 63-person band will appear at 7 p.m. at Advent Lutheran Church 16870 Murphy Ave. This group’s “big band sound” will appeal to young and old. Sixty-seven years after the band began, this outstanding group has performed all over the world. A free-will offering will be received at the concert which benefits the Shepherd’s Canyon Retreat ministry (www.ShepherdsCanyonRetreat.org).

History at the House
• The Morgan Hill Historical Society invites community members who have an experience level, a range of knowledge and a willingness to share their perspectives about local history and landscapes to join a conversation from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hiram Morgan Hill House at Villa Mira Monte. Julie Hutcheson of the Committee for Green Foothills and Thrive! Morgan Hill will speak. She is a legislative advocate for CGF and handles land use issues effecting South County.

Prohibition Party Fundraiser
• Drinking was illegal during Prohibition, but with the secret password you could get into a swanky speakeasy and indulge to your heart’s content from 7 to 10 p.m. at Villa Mira Monte. Come see the Hiram Morgan Hill House transformed into a ‘speakeasy’ and enjoy a night of music, dancing, food, Prohibition-era cocktails and silent auction. This event is for those 21 and older.
