There is a fight going on for the soul of this small-town. Our local officials seem to care little for the will of residents and allow building with an utter disregard to the consequences of uncontrolled growth. I will fight for the residents of this All-American town. My plan is simple:

  • Slow growth dramatically so that we can absorb this expansion, build necessary infrastructure and appropriately increase public safety.
  • Prevent the Bullet Train from damaging our community, taking our homes, closing local businesses and impacting our tax base.
  • Restore common sense to the city council — no unneeded projects or wasted tax dollars. We must make our infrastructure and public safety Morgan Hill’s top priority.
  • Create a safe, sustainable, family-friendly community for this and future generations.

When I suggest common sense solutions to our local officials, I’m only given reasons why it can’t be done. Whether they claim it is a poorly written ordinance, state mandates of growth or that we need the growth for our budget, the city always has a justification for rapid growth that is beyond what voters want.

These are just excuses.

If we want to slow the growth, there is always a way if we are committed. This growth can be fought politically and legally if necessary.

We can turn this town into something truly special; or we can let Morgan Hill be consumed by Silicon Valley. The choice is still ours.

I love this town. I grew up, met my wife and I am raising my twin girls in Morgan Hill.

I worked in construction-management for 12 years, went to law school at night and now practice law.

I am no stranger to hard work or fighting for what’s right. I will work and fight for you and this town.
