I am passionate about our children and want to give back to our community. With both my children attending Nordstrom, I have a vested interest in the success of our school district. As a parent, I have volunteered in my children’s classes. With your support, I want to expand my role and leverage my experiences to represent you on the school board. In a board member capacity, I will team with fellow board members to provide an environment that prioritizes safety while maximizing educational options for MHUSD graduates. This will require teamwork from all involved in our children’s education. Communication and feedback from parents, students, and community is key in creating and meeting our goals. Our goal isn’t just in providing education to our children but ensuring they will be successful in either a technical/vocational or college path.
I have a diverse background that qualifies me to serve as school board trustee. My professional career has predominately been supporting IBM (15-plus years) in roles that emphasize collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. My career experience centers on three very distinct roles: Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Beta Program Manager, and Senior Marketing Automation Manager/Operations. These diverse roles have given me the ability to understand requirements, ask questions, and quickly assess if goals and requirements are on target. My education and work experience also taught me how to develop, adjust, and execute action plans when goals are not met. To succeed in a large complex organization like IBM, you must work with people with a wide range of backgrounds and agendas. I look forward to representing Trustee Area 4 on the MHUSD School Board. Thank you for your consideration.
Education: I earned an MBA from W.P. Carey Business School at Arizona State University. My BS in business administration with a minor in computer information systems from Humboldt State University.
