“Steel Magnolias” is a show well worth watching for its message of hope and humanity

The South Valley Civic Theatre’s show “Steel Magnolias” will close on Saturday and it’s a play that theater lovers absolutely must see. I saw the Friday November 29 show and let me tell you the performers really make the colorful characters come alive on stage.
The acting is outstanding – as good or even better than some of the shows I saw in the West End when I lived in London. The story is full of laughs – but come to the show with Kleenex tissues because of the emotional depth in one of the scenes. “Steel Magnolias” is a show well worth watching for the message of hope and humanity it gives us during a turbulent time.
