Here at the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce we are busy planning our 2020 calendar. It will feature not only the return of our beloved community events but also the commencement of a few new programs to make our community even better.

Here’s what’s in store for our organization in 2020:

  • We’ll begin with the Celebrate Awards Dinner on March 7 honoring the individuals, organizations and businesses that make Morgan Hill a great- everything!

  • The popular Friday Night Music Series will run from June 12 to Sept. 4 at the Downtown Amphitheater featuring all your favorite bands — and a few new sounds.

  • A week-long series of events in honor of the Centennial Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage will take place the week of Aug. 24 including a movie night, panel discussion, Friday Night Concert, and more.

  • Elected officials at the local, county and state level will once again come to Morgan Hill for the “Civic Tuesdays Discussions.” The program kicks off Feb. 4 with United States Chamber Western Region Manager Vartan Dhijanian and continues March 10 with County Assessor Larry Stone.

  • The “GroupTHINK” Pilot Program (monthly meetings of business owners/CEOs discussing best practices and troubleshooting issues) will launch in January with participation already projected to increase on the horizon.

  • New in 2020, we are bringing back the San Martin Street Dance. This community dance was held for years on the west side of Rocca’s Market but was discontinued in 1983. Mark your calendar for Saturday, Sept. 12 to help us celebrate San Martin.

  • Chamber Travel continues. Twenty-four people will travel to the Emerald Isle in March to kiss the Blarney Stone, stand on the Cliffs of Moher and sample Ireland’s finest spirits. Couldn’t make it this year? In the spring of 2021 Chamber Travel will embark on a Riverboat Cruise to Amsterdam during its famous Tulip Season.

  • In December, we will launch “Holly Day!” Think ice skating, horse drawn carriages, pop-up shops, gift wrapping, and more.

It’s going to be a busy 2020. We can’t wait to have you join us.
