Embroiderers Guild of America

Running Group, Club Run

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
- The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents providing tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are now open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.
Morning Bike Ride
- Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill Road bike and drop handlebars required.
Farmers’ Market
- The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. Now year-round, a family-friendly Kid’s Craft event was added with fun educational projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the CalTrain Depot, accessed via Butterfield Boulevard.

Wild Dust on Stage
- “Wild Dust” is a comedic wild west play where the women are diverse and the men are … gone?! That’s right. A dust storm is about to hit this 1880s town and the men have gone to safety, leaving the women to fend for themselves. The women must get together and learn to get along as the only safety in town threatens to fall around them. The show plays from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Live Oak High School Theatre. Gilroy Gardening Group
- The Gilroy Gardening Group, a group of local garden enthusiasts on Nextdoor, is having a plant sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Miller Red Barn at Christmas Hill Park in Gilroy. There will be affordable vegetables, flowers, succulents and Californian native plants – which use less water – of particular importance in this time of drought. UC Master Gardeners Program will be there to answer questions, advise on drought hardy plants and give additional tips to the community. Proceeds of the event will benefit the Red Barn Association and San Martin Gwinn School gardening program for kids.
Art a La Carte
- After a gap of two years, everyone’s favorite free arts-and-crafts events for children 2 to 10 is being held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center. This year’s theme is “Be the Change You Want to See in the World.” Local businesses and organizations will host booths with theme-related hands-on arts and crafts projects and provide materials and supplies. Additionally, a Cal Fire truck and police educational car, Splash the Dolphin, an hour-long cultural program by local talent, and many more fun features will enhance the family outing.

Kickin Chicken Feast
- The Morgan Hill Kiwanis Club’s annual Kickin Chicken fundraiser is here. Dinners are $60 and feed four people with choices of Chicken Marsala with penne pasta or Tortellini Pomodoro. Buy a dinner for yourself or donate to a local family in need. Dinners are available for pickup between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. at Mama Mia’s. Donated dinners will be distributed through the Edward Boss Prado Foundation and Community Christian Church. All proceeds go to support local youth programs and scholarships for Morgan Hill students. Wine Stroll
- Get your tickets now for the MHDA Wine Stroll from 1 to 5 p.m. in downtown. Enjoy wines from more than 20 local wineries while experiencing downtown shops and restaurants. Take in live music and don’t miss the festivities for Air for Paws. They will have a pet parade and information about this fantastic local charity.

Live Oak’s Class Reunion
- Live Oak High School’s classes from the ‘60s and ‘70s are welcome to this class reunion that takes place from 4 to 9 p.m. at Guglielmo Winery, 1480 E. Main St. The cost is $65 per person. - Canceled the past two years, the Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras is back. The two-day explosion of fungal culture is held at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, and along Depot St.

Charity Golf Tournament
- Operation Freedom Paws annual Charity Golf Tournament and Awards Luncheon takes place beginning at 7 a.m. at Coyote Creek Golf Club. Start the day on the greens with a light breakfast on the go. There will be drink stations with complimentary water, soda and beer along the course. After the tournament is over, enjoy a buffet lunch on the Garden Terrace overlooking the 18th hole, where they will announce and award the overall 1st, 2nd & 3rd place teams and contest winners with some great prizes.
