Tour Morgan Hill Museum

  • The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions to the museum. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are now open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Morning Bike Ride

  • Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Farmers’ Market

  • The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. The year-round, family-friendly event includes a Kids Craft with fun educational projects.

Downtown Walking Tours

Daughters of the Amer. Revolution

Halloween at Gilroy Gardens

  • For Halloween, Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park is transformed into the wacky world of BOO Alley, where characters from “The Great Big BOO!” musical show come to life and interact with guests throughout the park. Pop-up Trunk Sale

  • At the MH Library Program Room from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., children’s books are .10; other books and media for all ages are $1 or less, with specially priced sets and collections also featured. Plein Art Paint Out

  • Colibri Gallery presents Plein Air Paint Out in downtown Morgan Hill. Have fun watching the artists as they live-paint the landscape around town. Events begin at 10 a.m. at Clos La Chance Winery where artists start painting the vineyards. Then, it continues into the afternoon around downtown. At 3 p.m. at Colibri Gallery join the “wet paint” art sale and awards ceremony. Enjoy live music, catered refreshments, and paintings of Morgan Hill. Oct. 30

Oktoberfest at Guglielmo

  • Featuring the finest in beer and food, an Oktoberfest Festival is being held under the big tent at the Guglielmo Winery from 5 to 9 p.m. Sponsored by the Morgan Hill council of the Knights of Columbus, it features the internationally acclaimed band the “Internationals” with nearly three hours of music, dancing and exhibitions associated with the Oktoberfest. A meal of bratwurst, German potato salad and red cabbage is followed by apple strudel dessert. The festival’s primary focus is to raise funds for educational scholarships for students in Morgan Hill and Gilroy schools. Through Nov. 6

Pumpkin Patch

  • Spina Farms offers a year-round farm-stand store and transforms into a pumpkin patch that is open seven days a week (weather permitting) and their hours fluctuate throughout the season. They are located at 225 Laguna Ave., Morgan Hill. Admission free, and attraction tickets can be purchased on-site. Activities are about $5 – $10 each. Parking is free weekdays and $10 cash Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
