Rebecca has a gift that turns any crying baby into a happy smiler.

The holidays are upon us and a great way to savor these precious times is through a portrait. Morgan Hill Downtown Association member Portraits By Rebecca owner Rebecca Little is here to help.
This business was kismet. While studying for a masters in Molecular Bio years ago, she welcomed her first daughter into the world. She loves being a mom and began taking photos of her daughter at four months. Friends were so impressed with how she captured her subject, she began doing portraits for them as well. One thing led to another, the sun, moon and stars aligned, and Portraits By Rebecca was born.
Starting out in San Jose the family moved to Gilroy 37 years ago. Portraits was a home-based business at the time with her home’s second floor completely outfitted. One time during a Stranger Danger lesson at school, her daughter was asked what she does when someone comes to the door. She replied that she opened it and pointed visitors upstairs. LOL!
At one point Rebecca had two assistants in a crowded 300 square-foot office. A friend suggested getting out of the cottage industry and she relocated the business across from Britton Middle School. Then one day 13 years ago she was walking along Monterey and saw her present location, which has been a perfect fit.
Rebecca prides herself at being a baby and family photographer. She also does business, blue bar and seniors. She likes taking portraits of shy people that don’t think they’re photogenic who often later say, “I can’t believe this is me.”
Portraits are one on one. They must be flattering with a need to elicit the best response from everyone oldest to smallest. Rebecca has a gift that turns any crying baby into a happy smiler. Sometimes it’s a workout and not uncommon for her to wear a Big Bird on her head to get the effect she wants. She is excellence at what she does and brings a lot of creativity to the set, dedicated to making her subjects look as good as they can.
Rebecca is fortunate to be involved in the community of Morgan Hill. She has met a lot of nice people over the years and is concerned about families and creating that special meaningful moment in their life and future. She sees Morgan Hill as a friendly, diverse, relaxing city, and a wonderful place to raise children. She sees a vibrant downtown that over the years has become a destination still maintaining that small town feel.
There’s still time to book your Christmas portrait, hand re-touched for best possible results. Sittings are by appointment only and can be made during the weekday, evenings and weekends.
Portraits By Rebecca is located at 17265 Monterey Rd. in downtown. Little can be reached at (408) 465-2062 and [email protected]. You can also visit her at portraitsbyrebecca.com. Catch her on Facebook at portraitsbyrebecca, and Instagram at @portraitsbyrebecca.
All for this time folks. Get those holiday decorations up and remember to show up for the Kiwanis annual holiday parade and MHDA Holiday Tree Lighting Saturday, Dec. 3.
