Running Group, Club Run

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included with fun educational projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, accessed via Butterfield Boulevard.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions to the museum. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Second Saturday

Downtown Walking Tours
• Enjoy a free historic tour of downtown hosted by the Morgan Hill Historical Society from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Morgan Hill Parking Garage (3rd Street off Monterey Road). No reservations required. Learn more: www.morganhillhistoricalsociety.org.

Daughters of the Amer. Revolution
• Members from Hollister, Gilroy, San Juan Bautista and Morgan Hill meet at 10 a.m. (through May). It is a nonprofit, nonpolitical women’s volunteer organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism. Learn if there is a patriot ancestor in your family. Learn About Climate Change
• The Climate Education and Action Committee interest group of AAUW is presenting a program titled “Climate Change is Real. Where do we go From Here?” from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Library, 660 W. Main Ave. A discussion panel will feature Lesley Miles, architect; Kari Hall, NBC Bay Area meteorologist; and Maddy Kangas, Monarch Butterfly Conservation Planner.

March 4

Raincoats and Rubber Boots
• This annual event takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Henry W. Coe State Park. Bring the kids, rubber boots and raincoats (or shorts and a T-shirt depending on the weather), lunch, snacks, drinks, towels and dry clothes for the ride home. Also, bring a bike and helmet (a few loaners will be available) and ride the Mountain Biking Challenge Course for kids. There is a $6 parking fee. Bring exact amount. Volunteers are needed. Guglielmo Bottle Your Own
• Bottle your own red wine from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the winery, 1480 E. Main Ave. Bring your own empty 750 ml bottles (wash with hot water, no soap) and fill them up with their delicious red blend for $8.50 each (plus tax). If they provide the 750 ml bottle(s) and you fill with their red blend. $10.00 each (plus tax). Can’t make it on the 4th? Pre-order at (408) 779-2145 or come by the Tasting Room and place your order by noon Friday, March 3. They’ll bottle it for you and you can pick it up beginning Sunday, March 5 (pre-orders must be picked up by the end of March).

Auditions for Matilda
• Auditions will be held for roles for adults and youth ages 9 and older. Rehearsals begin April 30, performances will run June 23-July 15. Join their mailing list at svct.org/participate to receive audition and show notices. Volunteer positions are also available. Become a part of the fun and magic at South Valley Civic Theatre.

Benefit Concert
• The Gilroy Elks Lodge Scholarship Benefit Concert featuring the Pacific Brass Band takes place at 2 p.m., at the Lodge, 2765 Hecker Pass Highway. The event includes a hosted Champagne reception with appetizers, the concert and a silent auction and raffle. Tickets are $35 pert person, a sponsored table of 10 is $400. Tickets are available at the Lodge office, or call (408) 842-9397 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Details: (408) 842-9397. All proceeds go to the Gilroy Elks Scholarship Fund.

Pasta Feed Fundraiser
• Mangia! Enjoy an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner, live music with Cook ‘N Fenny Combo, a silent auction, drawings, and more from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Old City Hall Restaurant, 7400 Monterey St. Proceeds support Operation Freedom Paws. Operation Freedom Paws is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers veterans, first responders, children and other individuals with disabilities through lifesaving service dog teams, at no cost to them.
