Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.
Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included with fun educational projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, accessed via Butterfield Boulevard.
Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions to the museum. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.
Second Saturday
Historic Downtown Walking Tours

OFP Easter Egg Hunt
• It’s time for Operation Freedom Paws Annual Easter Egg Hunt from 1 to 3 p.m. at the nonprofit, 13920 Llagas Ave., San Martin. Entry is free. Easter Egg Hunt is $7 (children 10 and younger). Details: https://ofpeaster2023.givesmart.com. Bring the whole family and join for some springtime fun and games. They will have a bouncy house, face painting, and their annual Easter Egg Hunt where they’re hatching up some wonderful prizes. Kids will want to keep their eyes peeled for the special golden eggs. And they are excited to announce their very special guest, the Easter Bunny. For the health and safety of all dogs boarding at OFP, please no pets allowed, service dogs only.
Book Sale
• The Friends of Gilroy Library monthly book sale takes place from 10 a.m., to 1 p.m. at the library, 350 W, Sixth St. The books will sell for $5 per bag for members and $8 per bag for non-members. The Friends need fiction and teen books. Also extra help with the sale and help in the book store. The Isabel Jewell Bookstore is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday; from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday; and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday; and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

Annual Plant Sale
• The Gilroy Gardening Group’s Plant Sale is back again and bigger than ever for 2023. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Miller Red Barn at Christmas Hill Park in Gilroy. The group, a bunch of local gardening enthusiasts, are excited to offer a large variety of affordable plants including heirloom tomatoes, Japanese vegetables, flowers, succulents, California Natives and more. U.C. Master Gardeners will be on site to answer questions, offer advice on drought tolerant plants and give additional tips to the community. Families are welcome and kids get to plant their own seeds or plant. Proceeds from the sale will benefit The Miller Red Barn Association and Operation Freedom Paws in San Martin.
Dance Party
• Join the fun and dance to the sounds of Left Channel, which plays covers from The Beatles, Van Morrison, Rolling Stones, BOC, Buddy Holly and more, plus some original tunes. Wear cool ‘50s and ‘60s outfits or come as you are. The event takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Gilroy Center for the Arts, 7341 Monterey St. Food and drinks for sale, cost is $10 at the door and all ages welcome. South Valley Fleurs Garden Club
• The club’s plant and craft sale takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grace Hill Church at the corner of DeWitt and Dunne avenues. There will also be a sale from 9 to 2 p.m. April 29 at the Veterans Memorial Building, 649 San Benito St., Hollister.
