Morning Bike Ride

Farmers’ Market
- The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included with fun educational projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, accessed via Butterfield Boulevard.
Tour Morgan Hill Museum
- The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions to the museum. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Historic Downtown Walking Tours

Daughters of the Amer. Revolution
- Members from Hollister, Gilroy, San Juan Bautista and Morgan Hill meet at 10 a.m. (through May). Health Resource Fair
- The no-cost Health and Wellness Resource Fair for families, seniors and the community is held outside at the Morgan Hill Community Center Amphitheatre at the corner of Dunne Avenue and Monterey Road, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendors grouped based on who they serve. Four workshops are available and run at two different times, 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The courses include Social Media Awareness; Don’t Get Scammed; Nutrition, Substance Use/Prevention Awareness; and Mental Health. Vendors are bringing raffle prizes and giveaways, and entertainment will be provided. Vision and hearing screenings are available for children. Food trucks are available to purchase drinks and food. UCCE Master Gardeners Class
- Learn about growing cucumbers, squash and melons from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the South County Teaching and Demonstration Garden, 80 Highland Ave., San Martin. Learn how to grow them successfully and have an abundant harvest!

Growing Lavender Successfully
- Lavender has been recognized as an important plant and cultivated in early civilizations as well as in modern times. It adds beauty and fragrance to your landscape as well as attracting bees and other beneficial insects. Many new varieties in various colors and sizes are available. Cultural conditions and potential pests will also be discussed. The class takes place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Library, 60 W. Main Ave.

Show & Shine
- The Gilroy Chamber of Commerce and the Garlic City Car Show Committee will kick off the 2023 car show season with a Show & Shine event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park. Enjoy live music, food and drinks for purchase, and of course, some of the finest cars in Gilroy. There will also be a nonprofit expo with 14 local nonprofit organizations. Amusement park rides will not be in operation, but guests will be able to see all of the wonders of the gardens. Home/Garden Tour & Boutique
- The Gilroy Assistance League will hold their annual Home + Garden Tour & Boutique from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is the major fundraiser for the Gilroy Assistance League. Both Friday and Saturday, check-in at the first house is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Upon check-in, ticket holders will receive a program with descriptions of the homes and a map with the locations of all tour homes. Grow Culinary Herbs
- Learn how to grow beautiful fragrant culinary herbs. Herb varieties, planting, care, and pests will be discussed. Many culinary herbs are very easy to grow. Not only are they attractive, but they can also attract beneficial insects and pollinators to your garden They will cover basic requirements of popular annual and perennial herbs. The class takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Gilroy Library, 350 W. Sixth St.
Book Sale
- The Friends of Gilroy Library will hold their monthly book sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library, 350 W. Sixth St. Books are $5 per bag for members and $8 per bag for non-members. DVDs and CDs are also on sale. The Isabel Jewell Bookstore is open 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday; from 1 to 4 p.m., Wednesday; from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday; and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
Wellness Fair
- The St. Louise Regional Hospital Wellness Fair takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the main entrance, 9400 No Name Uno. It features hospital services, public safety, environmental health, public health, live entertainment, raffles, children’s activities, and more.

Parking Lot Sale
- Visit the Woodland Estates Parking Lot Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 850 W. Middle Ave.
Car Show
- The inaugural Sobrato FFA Car Show takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the high school parking lot. Contests include People’s Choice, Best of Each Decade and Best Truck. Registration is $30 and includes free raffle, coffee and donuts and available at BIT.LY/3LOYXL3 by May 12. Spectators are free. Proceeds benefit FFA student activities, classes, welding, mechanics, and leadership travel.
