Former Marie Callender’s site will be demolished
Hey, Answer Man. I heard through the grapevine that Chick – fil-A is moving into the old Marie Callender’s on Cochrane Road. Is there any truth to that?
Dear Chicken Lover, yes the renowned chicken franchise is opening a restaurant in Morgan Hill. According to Matt Mahan, a conditional use permit and design permit has been approved for an approximately 5,000-square-foot restaurant (Chick-fil-A) with a drive-through on a 1.63 lot. This includes the demolition of the existing restaurant building that should begin very soon.
The project site is located at 18599 Sutter Blvd., on the southwest corner of Cochrane Road and Sutter Boulevard
Chick-fil-A is an American fast food restaurant chain and the largest chain specializing in chicken sandwiches. They are headquartered in College Park, Georgia, and operate 2,928 restaurants across 48 states, as well as in the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The company also has operations in Canada, and previously had restaurants in the United Kingdom and South Africa. The restaurant serves breakfast before transitioning to its lunch and dinner menu. Chick-fil-A also offers customers catered selections from its menu for special events.
