The Board of Directors of the Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras, Inc. (MHMMG) are excited to announce we have received approval from the City of Morgan Hill and the Morgan Hill Police Department to move forward on the planning of the 43rd Annual Morgan Hill Mushroom Festival, May 25-26, 2024 in Downtown Morgan Hill.
Board President Dan Keith and Executive Director Sunday Minnich began early planning with City officials, staff, MHPD and our new security company, Interpol Private Security to guarantee this year’s festival will take place.

The main focus of MHMMG is to provide a fun and entertaining family festival to raise money to award scholarships to high school seniors living within the boundaries of the Morgan Hill Unified School District. Scholarships are usually based on the net revenue of the previous year’s festival. Even though the festival was cancelled and replaced with the Morgan Hill Mushroom Benefit Concert, the Board of Directors was able to approve a total of $10,000 in Scholarships this year, thanks to the sponsors of the 2023 festival that continued to support the Benefit Concert. We will also be able to continue our monetary donations/support to school groups/clubs, youth sports, and nonprofit organizations who work at the festival. To date, the festival has awarded $1.5 million in scholarships and over $550,000 to local non-profits, school groups and youth sports
As the last remaining long-standing festival in Morgan Hill, attendees will enjoy shopping at over 145 Arts & Craft and Retail Booths, Gourmet Food Booths with Mushroom inspired dishes, Beer & Wine Gardens, Top Notch Entertainment on the Amphitheater Stage and local and regional artitst on the Depot Street Acoustic Stage, Chef Demonstrations, Mushroom Expo and Strolling entertainment.
As the Mushroom Capital of the Western United States, let’s not forget the festival star – The Mushroom. Visit our Mushroom Exhibition including Chef Demonstrations by local and celebrity chefs, Mushroom vendors and educational exhibits, samples and giveaways. The Food Court will boast mushroom inspired dishes that can be tasted in soup, stuffed, sandwiched, deep-fried, marinated, over rice and even mushroom ice cream.

This year’s entertainment is sure to please with a great line-up of music. International sensation “Hotel California, Eagles Original Tribute Band” will be headlining Saturday on the Amphitheater Stage and San Francisco’s #1 hottest dance and party band “The Party Starters” on Sunday. We will also have an acoustic stage to sit back and relax to the smooth sounds of local and regional artists, while sipping on a variety of craft beers and wines.

Don’t miss out on the 43rd Annual Morgan Hill Mushroom Festival May 25-26, 2024 in Downtown Morgan Hill. Hours are 10am – 7pm on Saturday and 10am – 6pm on Sunday. General Admission is $15 in advance (with discount coupon) and $20 at the gate. Kids under 12 FREE. Additional discounts apply for multiple day admission. Tickets will go on sale in February.
