Learn About Scouts

Parkinson’s Support Group

Dementia Support Group for Caregivers
• Group meets from 11 to 12:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, 171 W. Edmundson Ave., and is free, with no reservations required and for non-professional caregivers. It is a safe space to speak about the challenges faced and everything is kept confidential. Do not bring the person you are caring for to the meeting.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Farmers’ Market unites farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included.
Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.
Gilroy Ukulele Jam

Art ala Carte
• Calling all young Jedi and Padawans for an out-of-this-world arts & crafts event. Don’t miss this arts & crafts adventure that takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Downtown Amphitheater, 17000 Monterey Road. The free event is for children ages 2 to 10 and will include theme-related free hands-on arts and crafts projects provided by local businesses and organizations. Bonus features include a CalFire truck, police educational car, food trucks, a cultural program, and an art exhibit featuring works of the participants of the Morgan Hill United Against Hate Youth Poster Contest.
Red Dress Day Exhibit
• View a display of red dresses that bring awareness to the crisis of missing and murdered indigenous women in California and across the nation from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Library, 660 W. Main Ave.

Growing in Containers
• If you’d like to grow more flowers, vegetables or herbs in your garden but have space limitations, gopher problems or other issues, try growing in containers. Discover what types of plants are perfect container candidates. Water, nutrients, soil mix, and other requirements will be discussed for successful container gardening, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Library, 660 W. Main Ave. Presented by UCCE Master Gardener Joan Cloutier.

Home + Garden Tour
• The Gilroy Assistance League invites the public to its annual Home + Garden Tour & Artisan Market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Eagle Ridge. The final home on the tour offers the market featuring the work of local artists and craftspeople. Proceeds help support the grant program, as vendors donate a percentage of their sales to Gilroy Assistance League. The market also offers a no-host wine bar, complimentary lemonade, water, appetizers, and desserts made from recipes in the Gilroy Assistance League Cookbook. Park at the Gilroy Presbyterian Church, 6000 Miller Ave., and shuttle to the first home.
