Gerald E. Kerr, age 75, a resident of Morgan Hill, passed away July 16, 2024. Gerald was born Sept. 22, 1948 to Edward W. and Charlotte M. Kerr, in Binghamton, New York. His hometown was New Milford, Pennsylvania.
Gerald graduated from Blue Ridge High School, in New Milford, Pennsylvania, in 1966 and went on to study engineering at Broome Technical Community College in Binghamton, New York.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force where he trained for Electronic Counter Measures and became a radar technician on a flight crew out of Otis Air Force Base.
Gerald began his career at Burroughs Corporation, later working for Unisys for 25 years then Tandem/Compaq and Hewlett Packard before “retiring” to open a family HVAC business, JBKAire, Inc. in Morgan Hill.
Gerald was married to Elizabeth Anne Emrich (Kerr) Jan. 24, 1970. They have been together for close to 55 years.
They have two daughters Amanda Santiago and Jessica Kerr. Their grandchildren are Bradley, Devin, and Mequina Santiago and Elizabeth Chapman Kerr.
Gerald has one brother, David Kerr, who lives in Cooperstown, New York. His children are David and Stephen Kerr.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 17 at Advent Lutheran Church, 16870 Murphy Ave., Morgan Hill.
