Line Dancing

Learn About Scouts

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St., at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Farmers Market
• The Morgan Hill Farmers’ Market unites farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Gilroy Ukulele Jam
• Meets at 8:30 a.m., at Cafe 152 Bread Co., 60 4th St., corner of 4th & Eigleberry streets, Gilroy. All levels of players welcome. Play and sing and have fun. Don’t be shy and don’t wait.

Weekly Bike Ride
• Join others at 8 a.m., for a 22-mile bike ride. Meet at  Off the Chain bike shop, 101 McCray St., #101, Hollister. They ride out Santa Ana Road to Tres Pinos. Ranch Days

LBD Caregivers Support Group

Aug. 24

Clear the Shelters
The San Martin Animal Shelter Clear the Shelters event takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the shelter, 12425 Monterey Highway. The fun-filled event will include activities for the entire family. A DJ, food vendors, and vendors selling various products. Adoption fees will be waived.

Hollister Concerts

Master Gardener Class
• Learn how Native Americans planted specific crops together to support each other and to gain better nutrition from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the South County Teaching and Demonstration Garden, 80 Highland Ave. Participants will learn how to choose the right seeds and plants, how to organize the planting space, and will be able to see the progress of the Three Sisters Garden, that will be harvested in the Fall. Learn Digital Photography

Overdose Awareness Day
• The Santa Clara County Opioid Overdose Prevention Project will host a free event from noon to 4 p.m. at the CineLux Theater. It will feature a screening of the documentary Fentanyl High, speakers, county resources, food, music, art, free naloxone kits, and a remembrance event in honor of those lost to overdose.

Sept. 14

‘Illuminate the Night’
• This annual fundraiser takes place at 5 p.m. and features a candlelight concert. The event, at the Gavilan College Theater, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., also includes a silent and live auction, wine, and beer tastings and appetizers. Chitactac Family Day
