Cookbook book club
• Join the Cookbook Book Club from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the library, 660 W. Main Ave. Each month will feature a different theme and participants can select a cookbook/recipe within the theme and share it with the group. They are also planning a potluck-style sharing of the recipes each meeting.

Bingo benefits seniors
• Bingo is played at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, to raise funds to benefit the Morgan Hill Senior Center. • A new season has started for the South Bay Singers and the group invites new members to join. They meet at 7 p.m. in the LDS Church, 1790 E. WERC BOWL-a-Thon

• DK Brusaschetti, author of “Done With Crazy: Welcome to BonHaven,” grew up in the Deep South during the social awakening of the 1960s. Author to visit BookSmart
• Celebrate local author and Scottish storyteller, Danni Burton, who will talk about her book, “My Life, My Story, My Legacy: Vintage Wit & Wisdom,” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at BookSmart, 80 E. Second St. Burton interviewed and collected 52 stories from vintage people ages 55 to 105 from 10 countries and cultures. The stories are engaging, inspiring, entertaining and funny. History at the House
• Residents who have an experience level, a range of knowledge, and a willingness to share their perspectives about our local history and landscapes will join in the conversation as the Morgan Hill Historical Society welcomes Connie Rogers, a long time Gilroyan. She served on their city council and planning commission and is an avid historian who has been at the helm of the Gilroy Historical Society for many years. The talk takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hiram Morgan Hill House.

South Valley Wine Auction
• The 18th Annual South Valley Wine Auction, the premier food and wine event of South County, takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Community and Cultural Center, corner of Monterey Road and Dunne Avenue. Wine tasting in the midst of history
