• Join others in a weekday evening and Saturday morning walks. Meet at the Morgan Hill Shopping Center (Main and Hale avenues) for one-hour walks from 6 to 7 p.m. They also meet and walk for 90 minutes Saturdays beginning at 9 a.m. The walks are at a moderate pace and include hills. Bingo benefits bands
• The Live Oak Emerald Regime holds bingo games at the Britton Middle School Auditorium, 80 W. Central Ave., to support after-school band programs. Learn to play bridge
• Learn to play beginning bridge at a free series of nine classes covering introductory bidding and play. The classes are taught by Al Peponis, ACBL accredited instructor, director and club owner. The classes are Sept. 22 and 29; Oct. 6 and 27; and Nov. 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2014.

Bingo benefits seniors
• Bingo is played at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, to raise funds to benefit the Morgan Hill Senior Center. • LeTip Morgan Hill is a group of local business people that meets for breakfast at 7 a.m. every Wednesday at Rosy’s at the Beach with the purpose of giving each other leads to increase their business and revenue. 45th Annual Founders’
Day Dinner slated
• The annual dinner takes place at 6 p.m., with a social hour beginning at 5 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. The dinner, presented by the Morgan Hill Historical Society, honors residents who have lived here for 50-plus years. California Coastal Cleanup Day: Creek Cleanup
• Join others from 9 a.m. to noon to help beautify Morgan Hill. This is an opportunity for individuals, families and groups to enhance the health of West Little Llagas Creek and its wildlife. Participants will concentrate on picking up litter — gloves, bags and litter grabbers will be provided. Meet at the Corporation Yard, 100 Edes Court, at 9 a.m. Participants younger than 18 will need to bring a volunteer waiver signed by their parents with them the morning of the event. Turning 21 – celebrating the Learning and Loving Center
• The Learning and Loving Education Center of Morgan Hill is turning 21 and they want the public to help celebrate 21 years in Morgan Hill. The event “Turning 21 –Celebrating Our Success” will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. at Mama Mia’s Italian Ristorante, 275 E. Dunne Ave. The event will include an afternoon and evening of wine tasting sponsored by local wineries, a delicious Italian buffet dinner, a silent auction and a special performance by the South Valley Suzuki Music Foundation and Folklorico dances. Workshop slated
• Discover the benefits of gardening using your own compost from 10 a.m. to noon at the Morgan Hill Centennial Recreation Center, 171 W. Edmundson Ave. Learn basic backyard composting techniques at this free workshop taught by a Santa Clara County Master Composter. A free compost bin will be given to one lucky participant. Cioppino Feed
• The Kiwanis Club of Morgan Hill’s 13th annual all-you-can-eat Cioppino Feed takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. with a social beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Masonic Center, 380 W. Dunne Ave. The dinner includes cioppino, salad, pasta, garlic bread and a soft drink. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Advanced tickets are $50 each, or $90 a couple. It’s reunion time
• The Live Oak High School Class of 1969 is planning its 45th reunion. Join classmates at Mama Mia’s in Morgan Hill for an evening of rekindling friendships, a tasty Italian buffet dinner and music in the outdoor patio area. Cost is $65 per person. Third Annual Gourdfest
• Featured during this fun event is a “make and take” for children, where, for a nominal fee, children can make a small art object from a gourd, and take it with them. Also featured are educational presentations and demonstrations for children and adults alike, as well as booths where craft ready and finished art gourds are available for sale. In addition, off-site classes in gourd art are available for adults 16 and older. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Uesugi Pumpkin Patch, 14485 Monterey Highway.
