• Join others in a weekday evening and Saturday morning walks. Meet at the Morgan Hill Shopping Center (Main and Hale avenues) for one-hour walks from 6 to 7 p.m. They also meet and walk for 90 minutes Saturdays beginning at 9 a.m. The walks are at a moderate pace and include hills. Bingo benefits bands
• The Live Oak Emerald Regime holds bingo games at the Britton Middle School Auditorium, 80 W. Central Ave., to support after-school band programs. • Bingo is played at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, to raise funds to benefit the Morgan Hill Senior Center. Craft-a-Palooza
• Visit BookSmart for Craft-a-Palooza from 10 to 11 a.m. or 11 a.m. to noon for boys and girls three to 12. Attendees will paint, collage and craft their way to making three handmade projects. • LeTip Morgan Hill is a group of local business people that meets for breakfast at 7 a.m. every Wednesday at Rosy’s at the Beach with the purpose of giving each other leads to increase their business and revenue. Jewelry making class
• Children will be taught how to make beautiful jewelry including bracelets, bookmarks or decorative pins from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Centennial Recreation Center, 171 W. Edmundson Ave. In each session they will come away with a unique treasure for themselves or as a gift for someone else. This is a drop-off program for children 6 to 12.

Picnic in the valley
• Join Santa Clara Open Space Authority, Discover Coyote Valley and the Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center for a summer picnic evening in Coyote Valley from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve, 550 Palm Ave. See some rehabilitated and rescued hawks, falcons and owls, even a confused woodpecker. The late afternoon will start with a bird presentation meet and greet with the WERC birds of prey (With live birds you get to see up close and learn all about), followed by a hike to go find and see the local, wild birds of prey. Home energy upgrade workshop
• The community is invited to the California Home Upgrade Workshop from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. Learn how to reduce energy use, increase comfort, add value to your home and make you eligible for cash rebates and incentives. Eligible improvements include air sealing; duct sealing; attic insulation; high-efficiency furnaces, cooling systems, and water systems; wall insulation; and more. Boys club meets
• In addition to making new friends and a creative activity, boys will learn about life skills and values, positive relationships, and respecting themselves and others. One of the 41 Developmental Assets will be covered during each session that takes place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Centennial Recreation Center. This is a drop-off program for boys between 7 and 12.
Free Friday swim
• Celebrate the Aquatics Center’s 10th anniversary. The pool facility will be open at now cost for Morgan Hill residents from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Residents much show proof of residency.
July 21-25
Paradise Summer Camp
• Children ages 7 to 12 can enjoy a week-long summer camp at Paradise Park that will include sports, scavenger hunts, field trips and a summer Olympic day on Friday. Full-day campers must bring a lunch, but drinks are provided. A restroom is available and there is plenty of water and shade. Campers will be transported by van to field trips. Mornings will include all sports and afternoons will be the field trip. Field Trips are on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. There are only 20 spots open each week. The cost is $150 for all week, $75 for half day mornings all week. Day sessions are $40 and half day sessions cost $20. To enroll, email [email protected].

Girls Club
• This club is designed for girls between the ages of 6 and 12.
