• Join others in a weekday evening and Saturday morning walks. Meet at the Morgan Hill Shopping Center (Main and Hale avenues) for one-hour walks from 6 to 7 p.m. They also meet and walk for 90 minutes Saturdays beginning at 9 a.m. The walks are at a moderate pace and include hills. Bingo benefits bands
• The Live Oak Emerald Regime holds bingo games at the Britton Middle School Auditorium, 80 W. Central Ave., to support after-school band programs. • Bingo is played at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, to raise funds to benefit the Morgan Hill Senior Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. with games starting at 6:30 p.m. For ages 18 and older. There is a $20 buy-in, $30 electronic and paper buy-in. Flash games available. LeTip meets weekly
• LeTip Morgan Hill is a group of local business people that meets for breakfast at 7 a.m. every Wednesday at Rosy’s at the Beach with the purpose of giving each other leads to increase their business and revenue. Western Day
• Dust off those cowboy boots, polish those spurs and don your cowboy hats and denim shirts for Western Day fun with John and Linda’s Roadtrippin’ feature of Big Bend National Park in Texas at 11 a.m., at the Senior Cafe, 171 W. Edmundson Ave. Then, enjoy Sandra’s delicious barbecue ribs followed with brownie sundaes sponsored by LWF Senior HomeCare. Stay and watch the movie staying in the western theme: “Two Mules for Sister Sara” at 1 p.m.

Aug. 23
Audition for upcoming theater production
• Want to have fun working in a theater production? Audition for the 2014 Fall Children’s Theater production of “The Wizard of Oz.” Auditions take place at 11 a.m. for those 6 to 11 and at 1 p.m. for those 12 to 17 at the Gilroy Senior Center, 7371 Hanna St. Arrive 15 minutes early to sign in. The fee is $125 for residents, $130 for non-residents. Rehearsals scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and from noon to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Rotary golf tournament slated for later this month
• The Rotary Club of Morgan Hill’s 20th Annual Golf Tournament is coming up. The annual fundraiser will tee off at 1 p.m. at Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Gilroy. Golfers do not have to be members of a Rotary club. A box lunch and refreshments will be provided. An after-round dinner will be held for players, spouses and friends. Bow Wow Golf
• The Bow Wow Luau Golf Tournament benefiting Air for Paws is almost here. The four-person, best-ball scramble begins at noon with a shotgun start at Gilroy Golf Course. Registration begins at 11 a.m. The cost is $95 per player, $70 for golf only and $30 for the BBQ Luau dinner only. Proceeds benefit Air for Paws, a nonprofit organization that provides fire and rescue personnel with specially designed animal resuscitation kits that can save the lives of pets. Labor Day Bingo Marathon

Sept. 14
Bites of Morgan Hill
• Bites of Morgan Hill is a food tasting event similar to the Wine Stroll and Brew Crawl. The difference is that instead of sampling alcoholic beverages you are tasting food from the many fabulous restaurants. This year’s event takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $40 and include all food tastes and non-alcoholic beverages at select locations. Tickets are on sale now at participating restaurants.
