The South Valley real estate market has started to heat up, which is perfect timing for Morgan Hill residents David Clink and Erin Cockrell who opened in January their new RE/MAX Realty Partners office at Vineyard Town Center. The partners have steadily grown the office with 10 agents now working at the location. They have plans to keep expanding.
Morgan Hill Life asked Clink to describe his and Cockrell’s approach to helping local residents find the homes that suit them and their families.
You and Erin have really expanded your office over the last three months, and you have plans to continue adding several more agents. How did you grow your business so fast?
We are excited to open RE/MAX Realty Partners in Morgan Hill. I think we have been successful so far for a few reasons. RE/MAX is a trusted brand with exceptional resources to offer, and we are working toward putting together a positive office environment for the agents. I believe both reasons led us to our early success in attracting amazing agents.
What is RE/MAX’s approach to helping people find a home in the South Valley region that’s right for them and their family?
Having a young family, I know how important it is to end up in the right property. Our team prides itself in getting to know our clients and learning their wants and needs. That way we can help direct them to homes that are a good fit for them for now and for years to come.
How do you see your RE/MAX office fitting into the Morgan Hill community?
Erin and I are lifelong residents of Morgan Hill, as are many of our agents, and we love being a part of this community. We believe we offer a great quality of service to residents, and we plan to have a major presence supporting local events. On a national level, RE/MAX supports the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the Susan G. Komen Foundation, so we will be working hard to raise money and awareness for those organizations.
Morgan Hill is really starting to bloom again as a real estate market for Silicon Valley. What would you say are some of the reasons people are attracted to making their homes in our community?
Morgan Hill is a great community to raise a family, and has good schools and a variety of programs and activities for children. I believe that is a big draw, as well as the safety and small-town feel. People we work with often comment on how nice it is to escape the crowds and traffic of the bigger cities. Morgan Hill is a very unique place with much to offer, and people are really drawn to this community.
What special words of wisdom would you give people who are considering either buying or selling a home in Morgan Hill in choosing the best real estate agent to suit their needs?
The market is much different now than it was the past several years. Selecting the right agent is very important because they are assisting with one of the largest transactions in a person’s life. It is very important to work with someone whom you can develop a good relationship with and that can be trusted to look out for the client’s best interests. Also, working with an agent that has a vast array of marketing tools and resources is a key in this market. There are a lot of great local agents in our community. Finding the right one will help make the entire process a lot easier.
