Newcomer Meeting

Learn About Scouts

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St., at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Farmers’ Market unites farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Gilroy Ukulele Jam
• Meets at 8:30 a.m., at Cafe 152 Bread Co., 60 4th St., corner of 4th & Eigleberry streets, Gilroy. All levels of players welcome. Play and sing and have fun. Don’t be shy and don’t wait.

Weekly Bike Ride
• Join others at 8 a.m., for a 22-mile bike ride. Meet at Off the Chain bike shop, 101 McCray St., #101, Hollister. They ride out Santa Ana Road to Tres Pinos. Downtown Walking Tours

Daughters of the Amer. Revolution

Seed and Plant Sale & More
• The South Valley Fleurs Garden Clubs annual heirloom vegetable seedlings, perennial plants and annuals sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Morgan Hill Community Center, at the corner of Dunne Avenue and Monterey Road. They will also have a variety of herbs, vegetables, flowers and crafts for sale.

Earth Day Festival
• Join the city’s Environmental Services Division and the American Association of University Women (AAUW) for another great Earth Day event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. Art Exhibit
• The city of Morgan Hill will exhibit a collection of Alissa Crispin’s work at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center. The exhibit is called “A Celebration of Light and Color” and features a variety of landscape and still life paintings.

Spring Auction Auction
• The 21st Annual Spring Auction benefiting Future Farmers of America takes place at 5:30 p.m. at Guglielmo Winery. Proceeds from the auction benefit FFA students in the form of scholarships and agricultural programs at both Live Oak & Sobrato high schools. Tomato Seedling Sale
• The South Valley Fleurs Garden Club’s annual heirloom tomato seedling sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Hollister Veterans Memorial Building, 649 San Benito St., Hollister. On sale will be tomato seedlings, perennial plants, and annuals, all of them propagated by members. They will also have a variety of herbs, vegetables, flowers and garden-inspired crafts, as well as a table for kids to pot their own plants (no charge).

See Cabaret
• Gavilan College’s Theatre Arts Program invites the community to its spring production of the musical “Cabaret,” which opens at 8 p.m., with subsequent performances May 4, 10, 11, 17 & 18, and with an afternoon performance taking place at 2 p.m. May 11.
