Every Veterans Day and Memorial Day local Vietnam Veteran Eddie Bowers organizes a short ceremony to honor those who have served. About 250 people showed up on Veterans Day to watch the ceremony, that included the raising of a flag in honor of veteran Joe Martinez, the reading of the names by Al Alciati, a prayer by Crossroads Christian Church Pastor David Willis, and the presentation of a state resolution to Morgan Hill resident Lawson Sakai, who was named the Veteran of the Year.
